Scholarship Opportunities

NOTICE: All seniors with thoughts of attending college after graduation are highly encouraged along with their parents to contact their college(s) of choice in October to pinpoint scholarship deadlines.  Most colleges have specific deadlines – usually ranging from mid-November through January – by which students must apply for admission in order to be eligible for university relevant scholarships.  Accessing a college’s website or calling its financial aid office will help to verify these dates.

Federal Student Aid

This is the primary source of information about applying for an education, funding it, and repaying any expenses from that information. It also has links to all pertinent sites that are part of the financial aid process.

College Scorecard

This site allows students and/or parents to look up information regarding the costs involved in attending Ohio schools and other selected schools throughout the United States. The site also allows you to compare the costs at up to three schools.

FinAid--The SmartStudent Guide to Financial Aid

This site is the official website of college financial aid administrators all across the United States. FinAid was established in the fall of 1994 as a public service. This award-winning site has grown into the most comprehensive annotated collection of information about student financial aid on the web. Access to FinAid is free for all users.


Allows students easy access to one of the largest and most complete scholarship searches and application tools available.

ACT--Information for Life's Transitions

Allows students to gain information about the ACT organization including on-line registration for the ACT Test.

SAT--College Board--Connect to College Success

Allows students access to information about the College Board organization who is responsible for the SAT Testing program.

FAFSA on the Web

Provided by the U.S. Department of Education, this site allows parents and students to use an on-line form to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) over the Internet.

NCAA Clearinghouse

This site will provide you with information about initial-eligibility at NCAA Division I and II member colleges and universities.
