Student Assembly at Ottoville

On September 18 students in grades 9-12 traveled to Ottoville High School to listen to a presentation by Gaelin Elmore sponsored by the Putnam County Board of Mental Health. Gaelin broke down the word C.A.R.E.

C - Compassion: To Suffer with someone - sometimes empathy is not enough!
A - Authenticity: Be who you say you are, even when it is uncomfortable!
R - Resilience: In your support to a friend in need!
E - Empowerment: To encourage others to lead/live with authentic support of one another!

He ended with encouraging all to embrace a longing to respect others and meet them where they are at.

Tomorrow never comes - you always find excuses to push back tomorrow what you can do today!
Be sure to show up and C.A.R.E. today!

District Wide News

New Staff Member

Hello! My name is Grace Klausing, and I am so excited to be joining the school district as a Nurse! I graduated from Kalida High School in 2021 and went on to earn my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo in 2024. Since graduating, I have been working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. Outside of nursing, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, attending sporting events, and traveling. I will also be starting my third year coaching girls basketball this winter! I am incredibly excited for this opportunity to give back to the community that raised me, and to be a part of the Kalida Local Schools family!
