School News and Updates

*Girls grades 5 & 6 interested in playing softball, please stop in the office for a paper to sign-up. Please return all papers to the office by February 6.
*ALL Cats Who Care Members, you will need to turn in a Service Hour Log Sheet by tomorrow.
*Sunday (Feb. 1) there will be a Softball speaker Kami Kortokrax at 6:00pm in the Auditeria. This event is open to anyone interested in softball. Coaches, players future and current, parents and fans. All ages are welcome.
*There will be a JH Baseball open gym on Sunday from 4-5:30pm at St. Mike's.
*Congratulations to FFA Reporters Kenadi Bockrath, and Addy Brinkman and FFA Secretary Enna Meyer’s on receiving a gold rating in their Officer books. These students will be recognized at the FFA State convention and at the annual FFA Banquet
*Good Job last night to the: JV & varsity academic club teams who won their matches vs. Ft. Jennings. The varsity is 8-0 for the year. This Varsity team may be unstoppable!
*Athletic Boosters Chicken BBQ tickets have been passed out to the athletes.

Important Reminders

*PRIDE survey for grades 6, 8, 10, 12 will be during activity period (2/4). If you have a paper that your parent signed for you to not participate in this survey, please bring it to the office now.
*Kalida Go-Getter Club will hold their open house and introductory meeting on Monday (Feb. 2) at 7:00 p.m. at the Kalida High School Community Room. (Students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 are invited. Join us to learn about the program. If you cannot make the meeting and want to learn more about)

*Reminder to grades 5-8, you are still allowed to wear your watches, but remember you are NOT allowed to respond! All cell phones must stay in your lockers. If your watch should be there also, then do so. Make good choices. This is your last reminder about your watches.
*Parents and students of current 8th graders: Freshman orientation is Feb. 4, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Auditeria.
*CCP Parent meeting on February 10, 2026 at 6:00pm in the community room.
*Putnam County Homecare & Hospice are looking for Volunteers. Must be 16 or older. Variety of ways to volunteer: administrative assistance, visiting hospice patients, caregiver relief (excluding hands on care). They will provide necessary training. Contact PCHH at 419-523-4449.
